Racine County Western Feed Project

ATC plans to build new power lines in Racine County. The project includes:

  • Two new double-circuit 345,000-volt power lines would extend from the Electronics and Information Technology Manufacturing (EITM) zone in the village of Mount Pleasant to existing power lines about three miles west of Interstates 41 and 94 in the village of Yorkville.
  • New power lines between new and existing substations within the EITM zone are also included in the project.

This project requires approval from the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. The project is estimated to cost approximately $115 million.

The project is needed to support anticipated load growth in the area. Load growth is good for the economy and benefits ratepayers. Robust infrastructure helps drive economic development and can serve as a magnet for attracting future growth.

The project is subject to approval by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.

Additional information about the proposed project in Wisconsin can be found on the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin website, under docket number 137-CE-209.
