Racine County Western Feed Project

ATC will be building new power lines in Racine County. The project includes:

  • Two new double-circuit 345-kilovolt power lines will extend from the Electronics and Information Technology Manufacturing (EITM) zone in the village of Mount Pleasant to existing power lines about three miles west of Interstates 41 and 94 in the village of Yorkville.
  • New power lines between new and existing substations within the EITM zone are also included in the project.

This project was approved by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. The project is estimated to cost approximately $115 million.

The project is needed to support anticipated load growth in the area. Load growth is good for the economy and benefits ratepayers. Robust infrastructure helps drive economic development and can serve as a magnet for attracting future growth.

Additional information about the project can be found on the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin website, under docket number 137-CE-209.
