Fair Competition

Antitrust and competition laws promote fair competition by prohibiting conduct that can harm consumers or vendors, or restrain fair and open commerce, such as agreements between companies to share information that undercuts competition.

We compete fairly and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the antitrust laws of the United States.

It's Up to Us

  • • Recognize that sharing certain information with other utilities may create the appearance of inappropriate or illegal agreements or understandings.

    • Avoid conversations, formal agreements or informal understandings with our customers or other utilities concerning anything related to the company’s procurement practices.

    • Seek information about vendors fairly through publicly available information and not by unlawful means, such as misrepresenting who you are or for whom you work.

Callout

Think about it this way:

We win business because of our positive interactions with one another, our customers, regulators and suppliers, and the quality of our procurement practices and the service we provide, and never based on unethical practices.
