Lorenz promoted to VP of human resources, safety and facilities
PEWAUKEE, WIS. – American Transmission Co. has promoted Lori Lorenz to vice president of human capital. In this role, Lorenz oversees human resources, safety and facilities.
Lorenz brings years of experience and a wealth of human resources knowledge to the position. She joined ATC in 2013 as director of human resources, and prior to that served as vice president, human resources at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee. She also was managing director of human capital at Robert W. Baird & Co. While at Baird, the organization achieved Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” recognition for nine consecutive years.
Lorenz is an active member of several local and national human resources organizations, including Society for Human Resource Management, Milwaukee Area Compensation Association, FUEL Milwaukee’s Employer Council, MRA’s HR Executive Forum, Waukesha Tempo and Waukesha County Business Alliance. She also serves on the personnel committee of the Roger’s Memorial Hospital board of directors and is a board member of Carmen High School of Science & Technology in Milwaukee. Lorenz was recognized in 2008 as one of The Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list of young business and community leaders in the Milwaukee metro area.
Lorenz holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from UW-Whitewater, and also holds certifications as Senior Professional in Human Resources, Global Professional in Human Resources and Certified Compensation Professional.
