Mark Davis

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mark Davis is executive vice president and chief operating officer of ATC. Davis oversees system planning, system operations, construction and asset management.

Davis joined ATC in 2006 as director of asset management. In 2012 he was promoted to vice president of asset management, responsible for maintenance, asset renewal, system protection, commissioning, standards engineering, vegetation management and reliability performance for ATC’s more than 9,530 miles of transmission lines and 530 substations.

Prior to ATC, Davis was with Indianapolis Power & Light Co. for 20 years, where he served in a variety of engineering and construction leadership roles. He completed his IPL career as director, projects and contracts, managing the company’s project, contract and vegetation management functions, as well as the transmission and distribution operating budget.

Currently, Davis serves as ATC’s member representative and board alternate for the North American Transmission Forum. He is the past chair of the forum’s Vegetation Management Practices group. Davis also is a member of IEEE.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from Purdue University.
