Doing our part to minimize the spread of COVID-19
American Transmission Co. cares about the health and safety of our employees, contingent workers, contractors and visitors. We have implemented a number of safety practices in our workplace and in the field to help ensure we have a healthy workplace and minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Prior to visiting or working at an ATC facility or field site, please familiarize yourself with the following safety measures and resources, which have been developed with the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other agencies:
Self-health assessments
Prior to reporting to an ATC work location, please conduct a weekly, anonymous, self-health assessment. Use the link below to access the interactive form.

Contact tracing
Record the name of anyone with whom you have had close contact during work activities, along with the date and location of the interaction. Capturing this information in ATC’s electronic form linked below will expedite our ability to trace exposure in the unfortunate event that someone tests positive for COVID-19. This information will be retained for 14 days. Close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of someone for 15 minutes or more.

Face coverings
ATC employees and visitors may choose whether to wear a face covering in ATC facilities regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status.
Please refer to the CDC Community Risk Level tool and guidance to determine whether wearing a face covering is recommended for you.
Physical distancing
Physical distancing is essential to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The CDC recommends that if you are not up to date on COVID-19 vaccines, stay at least 6 feet away from other people, especially if you are at higher risk of getting very sick with COVID-19.
Cleaning and sanitizing
ATC has enhanced cleaning at all facilities and applied anti-microbial treatments to office surfaces. Hand sanitizer and other sanitizing equipment has been provided at each location to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Please help keep ATC facilities clean by following CDC guidelines for hand hygiene, covering coughs and sneezes, avoiding handshakes and minimizing touch of common surfaces and touch points.
If you have questions about any of ATC’s COVID-19 safety measures, contact ATC Safety or your ATC point of contact.
