Conflict of Interest

We must avoid situations where our personal interests conflict with the interests of ATC and disclose conflicts of interest or potential conflicts of interest if they arise.

Conflicts of interest can arise when personal interests interfere — or even appear to interfere — with the interests of ATC. If we have any type of interest that could conflict with the best interests of ATC, it must be disclosed.

It's Up to Us

  • • Understand how to recognize a conflict of interest.
  • • Avoid situations that affect your ability to act in a fair and unbiased way.
  • • Never offer gifts, entertainment or favors to sway a decision or action in our favor.
  • • Never accept gifts, entertainment or favors that are given with an intent to influence a decision.
  • • Promptly disclose any real or perceived conflicts of interest.

  • Types of Conflicts

  • Sometimes conflicts of interest are hard to recognize. Read the descriptions below to learn more.
