Overview

Sauk City Utilities along with Prairie du Sac Utilities and American Transmission Co. plan to build almost 3 miles of new 69-kilovolt power line from the Tower St. Substation in Prairie du Sac to the new Sauk City Phillips St. Substation.

Engineering work began in August 2007 for the new transmission line in Sauk City and Prairie du Sac.

This work includes replacing half of the existing wood poles along Lueders Road to make room for this transmission line. The work will also include new line construction starting from north of Broadway Street to the Tower St. Substation along 17th Street, as well as on Phillips Street to accommodate the new Sauk City Phillips St. Substation.
