September 27, 2005: ATC has posted the Full Report of its 2005 10-Year Transmission System Assessment to a new Web site, www.atc10yearplan.com. A link on OASIS also directs you to this Web site. The Web site affords us opportunities to update the document at any time, so the latest, most current information will always be available to you.
We also have begun distribution of the Summary Report to you. The Summary Report remains as a booklet providing a high-level overview of our planning approach and a sampling of major projects we are proposing. Included with the distribution of the Summary Report is an invitation to our Transmission Business Briefing 2005, Tuesday, October 25 from 10am to 1pm at the Madison Marriott West. Lunch is included. We will review findings from the Assessment and provide an update on our work to improve transmission access to neighboring regions for the benefit for our customers and all electricity consumers. During lunch, CEO José Delgado will talk about ATC's past, present and future in the electric transmission market. This meeting replaces the All Zones Meeting that was held in years previous. The reports will be released to the media on Wednesday, September 28.
We know that these reports are useful to you and we are providing you with this notice of their release.
September 20, 2005: ATC will host an Open House for its transmission customers at the Cottage Grove System Operations Center on Friday, September 30, 2005, from 2pm - 4pm.
Please contact Terry Peterson, tpeterson@atcllc.com (262-506-6819), by September 26 to indicate your attendance and for directions to the Cottage Grove facility. If you are interested in touring the facility but cannot attend the Open House, please also contact Terry Peterson to make alternative arrangements.
May 23, 2005: Power System Restoration Meeting
A joint MISO-Wisconsin-Upper Michigan subregion area, and ATC area Power System Restoration meeting will be held on May 25, 2005 at ATC's Cottage Grove office. April 1, 2005: ATC Offering Limited Opportunities For Tours Of ATC Control Centers
Jose Delgado, President and CEO of ATC, invites his transmission customer counterparts to visit with him in ATC’s control centers to see the people and equipment that maintain operation of the grid, to enhance understanding of ATC operations for those who interact with ATC to ensure safe and reliable grid operations, and to demonstrate the importance ATC places on providing superior operations.
ATC will not refuse any reasonable request from a senior member of any transmission customer. However, dates and times may be limited due to Jose Delgado’s heavy schedule and the need to preserve a suitable work environment for ATC operators.
Please contact Tony Tewelis at 262-506-6797 to request a tour.
March 7, 2005: In an ongoing effort to keep our customers informed of ATC activities relative to preparing for the MISO Day 2 Market, ATC is attaching two letters. Included is a letter dated February 23, 2005 from ATC to MISO requesting that MISO take action on some specified open items prior to Day 2. The letter dated March 7, 2005 summarizes the action steps that MISO has taken or will be taking in order to respond to ATC's Day 2 Operational Readiness Concerns raised in the February 23, 2005 letter.
We provide with this information as a courtesy so that you aware of the status of these Day 2 Operational Readiness issues.
February 10, 2005: WPS Control Center Tour
Wisconsin Public Service will be conducting a tour of their new control center for the WPSR Board of Directors and Senior Staff today. Members of Senior Staff that are affiliated with the marketing function of the company will not attend the tour. WPS Operations is taking strict precautions to ensure that realtime non-public information will not be shared or conveyed during the tour.
January 28, 2005: Line 3124 Paris-Albers
Recent ATC line 3124 Paris - Albers LIDAR and ground surveys analysis has identified existing line conductor clearance violations for line loading to previously posted ratings. Therefore, ATC has lowered the posted ratings to a level consistent with requirements of the National Electric Safety Code. ATC will be improving 15 structures to obtain a 285F year-round operating temperature on line 3124. ATC is replacing 7 structures this winter (2005) and the remaining 8 structures will be replaced by June 1, 2006.
January 24, 2005: 138kV line 3124 Paris-Albers
Subsequent to recent engineering analysis, ATCLLC has submitted to the Midwest ISO a revised normal and emergency rating of 211 MVA for line 3124 for summer 2005.

July 19, 2004: Access Customer Meeting materials can be found here.
July 16, 2004: May 13, 2004 Request for Arbitration of Dispute Regarding Allocation of Revenues to American Transmission Company LLC
December 9, 2003: MISO and ATC have suspended the FERC Standards of Conduct for entities involved in operations of Northern Wisconsin and Upper Penninsula Michigan due to system stability and generation capacity concerns.
August 25, 2003: ATC has responded to a data request from the Public Service Commission of WI concerning the August 14, 2003 cascading power system outage in Northeastern United States and Ontario, Canada. ATC's reply included information relating to transients and alarms on the ATC system at that time, as well as other non-operational data. To request a CD copy of ATC's submittal, please contact April Haley by e-mail at ahaley@atcllc.com or by phone at 262-506-6877.
May 15, 2003: American Transmission Company LLC has declared an emergency due to high water levels in the Dead River in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the potential for related disruption to transmission service. This will permit timely direct communications, if necessary, between ATCLLC, the Midwest Independent System Operator and load serving utilities in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
April 7, 2003: American Transmission Company LLC has provided the following
comments for inclusion in the NERC RAS Summer 2003 report:
Since incremental import capability into the ATC system is between 100 and 150
MW from all directions, it is considered inadequate.
The emergency import capability into Wisconsin and Upper Michigan necessary to
meet a 1 day in 10 years LOLE criterion for this summer is 2150 MW. The
Lore-Turkey River-Cassville 161 kV line (Alliant West / Dairyland Power
Cooperative), on the southern Wisconsin-Iowa border, is anticipated to be
heavily loaded during peak load conditions. This will limit total emergency
import capability into Wisconsin-Upper Michigan to about 200 MW less than the
minimum desired level of 2150 MW. American Transmission Company LLC, its
neighboring utilities and MISO are working together to mitigate the effect of
this limitation on the import capability.
