Project summary
ATC is building and upgrading 69-kilovolt electric transmission facilities from the Portage Substation to the Montello Substation. Construction of approximately 6.5 miles of new right-of-way began in January 2006.
This project helps address growth and meets residential demands for electricity; upgrades structures that date back approximately 50 years; and clears and maintains areas along the line to avoid future outages due to interference.
Construction of this project is occurring in three phases, the first starting in January 2006. See the project map for further details.
