CONNECTING TO THE GRID  
 
The transmission system connects power producers, or generators, with distribution companies who deliver power to where it is used in homes and businesses. ATC accommodates new connections to the transmission system for both generators and distribution customers. ATC collaborates with the Midwest ISO and the customer in development and implementation of the appropriate interconnection solution in response to the customer’s need.

Generator Interconnections

The ATC Generator Interconnection Guide supplements the Midwest ISO tariff requirements for generator interconnections, describing ATC’s role along with specific guidance for design, construction and operational aspects of an interconnection project. To communicate a planned change to a generating unit please complete the Generating Facilities Modification Notification form, save, and submit to the email address above. Feel free to include any pertinent documentation that will assist ATC. You may also include a marked-up copy of the Appendix B Generator Data Inventory Summary Sheet.

 

Load Interconnections

The ATC Load Interconnection Guide describes ATC’s process for working with its customers on proposed new or modified load interconnections. Questions or requests for additional information concerning load interconnection to the ATC transmission system should be directed to:
