Dan Doyle joined American Transmission Co. in October 2000 as the company's vice president and chief financial officer. As a member of the leadership team and officer of the country's first multi-state, transmission-only utility, Doyle is responsible for overseeing the financial, human resource and information technology functions at ATC.
Doyle joined Wisconsin Power & Light in 1992 as general office controller, where he was responsible for all internal accounting functions. He added treasurer to his responsibilities the following year. He was promoted to vice president of Finance in 1994 while keeping his controller and treasurer roles. In addition to his previous duties, Doyle was responsible for strategic financial planning matters including merger analysis, dividend policies and asset rationalization initiatives.
He was named vice president of Power Production and Wholesale Services in 1996. As vice president of Manufacturing and Energy Portfolio Services in 1998, Doyle managed approximately 5,000 megawatts of generating facilities as well as the energy trading functions. He was named vice president, chief accounting and financial planning officer in January 2000.
Prior to joining Wisconsin Power & Light, Doyle spent eight years with Arthur Andersen & Co. as a senior audit manager and four years as controller of Central Vermont Service Corp.
Doyle earned a bachelor's degree in accounting at Michigan State University in 1981 and a master's of business administration at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1991.
